Pearse Halpin - Gather Me (Official Music Video) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jun 22, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
"Gather Me" is the first single release of Pearse Halpin's 2016 album release "Punch of Joy".

Pearse Halpin about the song: "The song wrote itself in a very short space of time. Initially I wanted to paint a large sprawling canvas of a tune. I wanted to go against the conventional song writing "plan" and was very aware that my approach had to be unorthodox. My wife Steph texted me two words while I was getting a train-James Bond? And that was it! I sang the entire song, less the middle string section, into my phone! Came home and completed it in a matter of minutes."

The idea for the video was going to be unorthodox in its premise and storyline. Baring in mind that the tune has an epic/Bond type feel...the video had to have....Tuxedos!

The Irish director Cathal Nally directed the video. He took the idea of an anti Bond story line, with the female secret agent being the hero, and fleshed it out into a proper script! Watching the video you can really tell it has had a proper director/writer treatment. Cathal got Donny Coffey onboard as DP and editor with Niamh Kennedy assisting. The mercurial and hugely talented Martin O'Malley was 1st AD.

The cast consisted of Pearse Halpin, Jenny Lee Masterson, Gerry Shanahan, Gerry Wade, Les Martin, Cathal Nally, Cathal Hickey and Marc Crowley.

The video was shot entirely on location at The Crover House Hotel Virginia Co Cavan Ireland.

...and YES there will be a sequel!!
