Contemporary jazz piano master Geoffrey Keezer performs at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in a concert of solo piano and trio with IU Jazz faculty members Jeremy Allen, bass, and Steve Houghton, drums. According to Time Magazine, Keezer "has more than enough virtuosity and sheer musical wit and intelligence to weave all of his apparently disparate strands of influence into an original and compelling whole." Keezer joined Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers at age 18 and went tour, record, and work with Joshua Redman, Ray Brown, Art Farmer, Benny Golson, Chris Botti, David Sanborn, Jane Monheit, Wayne Shorter, Sting, and may others. His most recent recording is Heart of the Piano.
