Jazz Guitar, Gene Bertoncini, Howard Alden Influenced - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 22, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
I haven't played as much guitar this summer ... and was working on some finger style exercises by playing over a sequence of 3 chords chromatically descending (D minor 7th, C# minor 7th/Db minor 7th, and C minor 7th)... There are some other chords thrown in there all chromatically (i.e. G13, G#13, A13 etc..). I am primarily arpegiating the chords and playing a mixture of chord tones and chromatic linear lines. I am letting my ears guide me and although it may not be technically correct ... it does the job! Influences are Gene Bertoncini (on the fingerstyle playing) and Howard Alden...I like his voicing and his overall playing
