Fuck minimal! This is the sound of the real German underground. Hold tight as young Berlin producers Gawron Paris drop their debut
EP of inspired deep, funky house. Also on board, remixes from the hotter-than-hot Bryan Jones (Control Recordings, Chicago) and the one & only Jay Tripwire (Nordic Trax, Vancouver).

‘Don’t Stop Dis’ is a quirky track for fans of Chicago jack & tech house alike. The drum programming is intricate but with a shuffle
that builds the tension nicely before deep chords and an unexpected change drive this one home. ‘Piks’ takes the formula on a different ride with a more dubby feel and vocal elements that work the mix. On the flipside Chicago’s own Bryan Jones delivers a jazzy, sampledelic peak-time bomb. His signature drums & tight arrangement takes the original to another level. Less for the hands
in the air crowd, Jay Tripwire delivers a deep, dubby affair with a mature sensibility for the heads.

Based out of Berlin, René Gawron and Ron Paris met each other in early 1998 at their favourite record store. After many a night in
the studio and enjoying one of a few deep house nights in the Capital, they decided to bring their music to their world. So began
their monthly club night ‘Stella the Bitch’ – which has hosted the likes of Raoul, Jason Hodges, Steve Littlemen & Luke McKeehan. On top of this debut from the boys, Gawron Paris have releases forthcoming in 2007 on Greenhouse & Kolour Recordings. Bryan Jones has of course had releases on a number or labels including Jackin, Fetish, Blackcherry, Lingo & Control (his own). Jay Tripwire has put out over 100 records since 2000 and is a household name for those who like it deep, dubby and indeed a little bit freaky.
