Gareth Emery (Southampton, 18 luglio 1980) è un disc jockey e produttore discografico britannico di musica trance.
Gareth Emery entra nella scena della musica elettronica nel 2002, quando esce il suo remix di "Nervous Breakdown" di Shrink che, insieme alle tracce "Psiclone" e "Flood Control", fa ricevere al DJ un grande supporto da parte di nomi molti importanti, come Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto e Ferry Corsten. Nel 2006 ha inizio il suo programma radiofonico "The Gareth Emery Podcast", che tuttora è considerato come uno dei migliori[senza fonte], grazie alla presenza di musica di svariati generi e non solo ed esclusivamente Trance: infatti non vuole essere etichettato come un DJ "Trance". Nello stesso anno riscuotono un grande successo[senza fonte] il suo remix di "Formentera What" di Albert Vorne e il singolo "Another You, Another Me".
Nel 2009 crea una sua etichetta discografica, la "Garuda", la cui prima uscita è "Exposure/Metropolis". Le serate in cui è coinvolta questa etichetta si tengono al club Sankeys di Manchester, dove sono stati ospiti importanti DJs, quali Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz e Sander Van Doorn.
Nel 2010 esce il suo primo album, "Northern Lights", che viene giudicato dalla critica come un lavoro di notevole spessore[senza fonte]. La sua musica può essere definita come una fusione fra Trance e Progressive, con influenze Techno e aggiunta di parti vocali e melodiche.
Il suo secondo album "Drive" esce nel 2014 e mischia generi trance, progressive trance ed electro house.
Attualmente occupa il 74º posto nella classifica dei migliori DJs al mondo, secondo il sito DJ Mag.

Gareth Emery (born 18 July 1980) is an English electronic dance music producer and DJ. Since 2006, he has been ranked in DJ Magazine`s annual Top 100 poll, peaking at #7 in 2010.
Gareth Emery was born in Southampton, England although he also has Welsh heritage, and he is an avid supporter of the Welsh rugby team. He lived in Southampton until the age of 26 before relocating to Manchester, England where he had a studio and ran a night club and record label, both called Garuda. He has a degree in Politics from University of Warwick, supports Southampton Football Club, and is trained in classical piano. Prior to becoming involved in electronic music he played guitar in a punk band in the mid-nineties. He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife Kat. Gareth Emery has a sister Roxanne Emery, who is also involved in music.
Emery has released four mix CDs during his career: The Five AM Sessions (2005), The Podcast Annual (2007), The Sound Of Garuda (2009) and The Sound Of Garuda: Chapter 2 (2011).[15] His debut artist album Northern Lights was released in 2010, and achieved considerable success, climbing to no.1 in the US iTunes dance chart. The album also contained one of his most successful tracks "Sanctuary", which was voted the 2nd biggest track of 2010 by listeners of Armin van Buuren's A State Of Trance radio show, and then became the most played record of 2011 on US Sirius XM Radio dance station BPM. In 2011, a remixed edition of the album was released entitled Northern Lights Re-Lit with remixes by acts including Hardwell, Arty, Giuseppe Ottaviani, John O’Callaghan, Lange and Ashley Wallbridge. Since 2002, he has produced, remixed, or collaborated on around 90 tracks, with notable remixes for Britney Spears, Armin van Buuren, and Above & Beyond.
On his podcast and his Twitter page in September 2013, he announced that he had a new artist album, due for release in early 2014. The build-up will include plays of complete 'classic Emery albums' on TGEP, and started with 'The Sound of Garuda' (Ep. 251). The album, Drive was released on April 1st and is a follow up to Northern Lights
