The title track from the new EP, 'The Abyss Within', out May 20th on Mnemonic Dojo. This single is a zero budget audiovisual collaboration between Memory9 and the enormously talented Saizen Media. Our mutual love for futuristic aesthetics and cinematic atmospheres, a fascination with the unsettling narrative of classic sci-fi films, as well as a fanatical devotion to the craft of sound and image led to what for us was a proper dream collab. 'The Abyss Within' allowed us to explore and pay tribute to many cinema greats, both in the track, which borrows heavily from classic horror soundtracks and sci-fi sound design, and in the video itself.
