Similarly to Paul Whiteman’, the Lyman’s band after almost whole decade of the 1920s, when it worked for its deserved reputation of one of the leading American dance bands of the Jazz age, it managed to survive Great Depression and continued its successful performing thru the 1930s. However, in the late 1940s Lyman gave up musical business and switched to a restaurant managing. He died in Beverly Hills in 1957.
