Frivolous Stir

Frivolous Stir became reality in autumn of 2002. when guitar player Tomislav Margan gathered,along with the drummer Mario Mrdeza, three other talented people forming a band whos primary name wasn’t Frivolous Stir but Enormity Of Terrestrial Dreams. The band then included the staff of five; Tomislav Margan and Ratko Letilovic on guitars, Davor Ergo on bass, Mario Mrdeza on drums and last but not least important Jure Lazarusic as a vocalist. Frivolous Stir (Enormity Of Terrestrial Dreams) back then sounded like a mix of old school doom, death and black metal. In that formation band existed till 2003, when the band welcomed another member, the keyboarder Ana Gasi. Shortly after that band changed it´s name from Enormity Of Terrestrial Dreams to Frivolous Stir, and also changed it´s sound. With presence of keyboards Frivolous Stir received clearer, fuller sound that had slightly erie modulation. After a lot of time, the fruits of hard labour appeared - the first demo (.In the void of my despair) was recorded and had tracklisting of 6 songs. In the autumn of 2004, Frivolous Stir welcomed another new member - Zrinka Maras. The next period of time was chaotic but also in a bizzare way - very successful. The bands line-up (almost) completely changed leaving only two original members ( Margan and Maras) and gained five new ones (Darko Sipic as a vocalist, Zoran Kraljevic on drums, Josip Markovic on keyboards, Ante Kodzoman on bass and Gordan Grubisic on guitars).That horrible period of constant line - up changing lasted till 2005 when bands line-up stabilized and remained that way. Another era of hard work began and soon afterwards the second demo ‘Gnostic’ was recorded.The demo was conceptual and very different from the first one.Their present sound can not be compared to some other genres because it is an avantgarde mixture of many styles. Their sound, firm and more atmospheric than ever, is a result of their constant hard work and enthusiasm.
