DESCRIPTION:
Enchantment is a piece that I had written as part of a competition last spring for the Cleveland Museum of Art. It was a miniature version of a much larger national competition called “Iron Composer”. The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Iron Composer Contest wasn’t for any prize or notoriety, it was a fun, friendly contest to see what young composers could do in a very short amount of time. All of the composers had 24 hours to write a piece and then we had to submit the finished scores and parts. This piece doesn't have an incredibly insightful inspiration, it a piece which came off of the top of my head. The piece then had its premiere at the February Gala at the Cleveland Museum of Art last spring alongside the pieces written by my fellow composition majors here at BW.
