These songs may have been recorded in 1976 but the vast majority really belongs to/was conceived (and televised) in 1975.

Core musicians: Franco: solo guitar, Michelino mi-solo guitar, Lutumba Simaro rhythm guitar (perhaps replaced by Gégé Mangaya on some tunes, shown on some pictures on bass guitar, however), Mpudi Decca on bass guitar (listen to the liberties he takes in the first song!!), Ntoya on drumkit (playing hi-hat most of the time), Bosuma Dessoin on percussion, otherwise DuPoole.

In this period, Franco was really searching for his place in the (new) three guitar (four, counting the bass) set up. It is interesting to note that Franco plays solo guitar on several of these tunes and Michelino mi-solo (very deep in the mix, whereas Franco is very much up front in the mix) but that the roles had been reversed between these recordings and the televised versions from late 1975. So the roles, and especially Franco's role, are/is not as settled as they/it would become later on.

In both live versions Franco does wonderful things in a mi-solo role that he could not do in a solo role in the studio versions. Another song that came out stronger live was Nzete Esololaka Na Moto Te:

also because Ndombe gave the first solo to Josky and shared the last one with Josky. Right before the first solo: watch Ndombe's manual gesture to Josky, asking: you or I? Then we hear Josky singing and from the look on Michelino's face, it might have taken him by surprise, too. On the record, Ndombe took the first, second and fourth solos.
