ODS has a long history in compact disc manufacturing, with roots reaching back to the birth of CD technology in Japan in the early 1980s. Those roots go back to Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd., who began producing CDs in 1982 in Gifu, Japan. In 1986, Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. formed subsidiary Sanyo Laser Products, Inc. to open a sister facility in Richmond, Indiana. The Richmond facility incorporated state of the art mastering and replication equipment for that time, and a strong commitment to quality that had earned the Gifu, Japan facility an excellent international reputation. Production began at the Richmond, Indiana facility in early 1987, and has continued uninterrupted to this day.

ODS is one of only a handful of CD replicators around the world that replicates 24kt gold CDs. A great option for custom runs, box sets, memorabilia, or anniversary recordings. Made with pure 24kt Gold, these discs have a higher reflectivity and lack any of the environmental issues that cause normal CDs to break down such as oxidation. The low contamination sputtering process allows these discs to come out clean and defect free. You can add this option to any of your CD Audio orders!

The glass master refers to the replication process, not duplication. The glass master is supplied by ODS as an exact copy of your disk. It is then used to create a stamper. Glass mastering includes a review of the integrity of your original disk and a verification of copyright ownership. Make sure that the master you send ODS is exactly as you want it to be in your final product, as Glass Mastering insures it will be an exact copy.

ODS can replicate audiophile recordings with astonishingly realistic quality on our Technoplas Injection Molder. Technoplas is a first generation molder that has its roots in Magneto Optical Disk. It has a 47 ton clamp capacity and a close loop mold cavity injection pressure servo control for high precision pit replication. The Technoplas machine makes a low birefringence, ultra flat and stable disc, resulting in higher quality sound reproduction.
