The Strymon Flint is a powerful pedal that containing two effects that have remained a match made in heaven since the beginning, reverb and tremolo.
Each side contains 3 unique modes which provide a wide range of moody spaces either in mono or stereo. The '60s reverb is based on a splashing 2 spring tank, while the '70s captures the organic decay of an Electronic Plate reverb. For deep, lush environments the '80s Rackmount Hall reverb is available with a range that goes to near infinity.
The Tremolo side starts off by offering '61 Harmonic Tremolo, a dual band filtering effect that shares some similarities with phase and vibe. Choose the '63 Power Tube tremolo for a swampy effect that came from alternating the power tube bias of the amplifier. Lastly, those classic chop and stutter effects are achieved by Flint's Photocell tremolo from the famous '65 era amps.
Along with the visible controls, each knob has a secondary function that is accessed by simply holding both footswitches. You can boost or cut each effects level, switch the order and setup up the tap tempo subdivision when using an external tap switch. Along with the tap switch the Exp input can give you expression pedal control over any parameter you see or it can instantly take you to your favorite setting with Strymon's favorite switch.
