Malcon X said in 1965: "Nobody can give you freedom. If you're a man, you take it". This album took off at that point where a band starts to build its own path on its own terms.
"999 to 666 ts street" is the new album from the Brazilian quintet FireFriend. Released on Feb 11, 2011, the record takes you up and down through ten tracks and almost 47 noisy, electric, distorted minutes.
Recorded and produced between Jan 2009 and Dec 2010 at the band's rehearsal space, "999 to 666 ts street" mixes jam sessions and compositions where wreckage from the sixties' explosions collides with all that fury from nineties and 2000's soundscapes.
And now they're flowing through music - adventurous and defiant music.
