Lustra's first record, BREAKFAST AT TAMMY'S, was recorded in March 1998 in the basement of 22 Warner Street in Somerville, MA. The album was recorded over the course of about 2 weeks. The band, then called SEVENTEEN, worked nights and weekends, recording the instruments live and singing vocals as overdubs. Gear consisted of a Mackie mixing board and 8-track ADAT bought by J. Adams. The mics were mostly lousy, with a couple of nice ones borrowed from Scott Benson, who would later found XOFF records and sign them.
