To mark the release of the LOOTED remixes album we share this video of the tour £00T Tour. A year spent in a hundred cities compressed into three minutes.
See Filastine rock a plaza in their home base of Barcelona, a sweaty riverboat in Paris, on a rooftop in Istanbul, and even some special one-off events like their video mapping of the iconic DOM of Utrecht, or their collaboration with a gamelan orchestra in Ubud, Bali.
Fragments of travel connect these concerts, captured entirely with Filastine & Nova's mobile phones. Journey on bullet trains and rickshaws, explore cargo ports from Dubai to Hamburg, and crawl on top of a skyscraper to peer through the haze of Shanghai. Linger for awhile in downtown Cairo, the epicenter of the Egyptian revolution, or at Chungking Mansions, Hong Kong's globalized vertical ghetto.
Filastine tour is not a vehicle for exporting a musical product, but a way of life, an ongoing acoustic and visual remix of the world, a collision of cultural information bridging the low-tech and high-tech in glorious improvised fucked-up mess. Have a look.
