DESCRIPTION:
This is the Fessenden, ND High School Band from the 1980-1981 school year. At the time, Fessenden High School had an enrollment of about 120 students in grades 9 - 12. The band is performing "Exaltation" by James Swearingen at the large group music contest held at New Rockford High School. The acoustics in the gymnasium were horrendous. It was a very large gymnasium with very few in the audience. It was almost impossible to hear some of the instruments, especially those playing in the lowest audio frequencies. The students did an outstanding job and earned the double star rating which was the highest rating available.
