Fauna was formed by Catar_sys and Color kit in the year 2003. These two
programmers decided to search for their American identity in their productions to enrich their Anglo-Saxon roots. So they took American elements like reggae, cumbia, reggaeton, cumbia villera, baile funk and they mixed them with Saxon electronic beats like IDM, Jungle and Break Beat.
With time, these instrumental productions were enriched with raga and hip hop rhymes, giving birth to their live duo. This mix of styles in Argentina is called "Tropitronica," Fauna setting the bar for the genre.

Fauna, fue formado por Catar_sys y Color kit en el año 2003. Estos dos programadores decidieron buscar una identidad americana en sus producciones para enriquecer su escuela anglosajona. Así tomaron herramientas americanas como, el reggae, cumbia, reggeton, cumbia villera, baile funk, y los mezclaron con ritmos electrónicos sajones como el IDM, Jungle, Break beat.
Con El tiempo, estas producciones solo instruméntales, fueron enriquecidas con cánticos ragas y hip hoperos, dando así un formato live al duo.
