WELCOME TO FANTASMA CITY, AN EXPERIENCIE FULL OF SONOROUS TEXTURES, RHYTHMS AND IMAGES THAT WILL TAKE YOU TO A NEW MUSICAL DIMENSION.

Fantasma is a multi-disciplinary group composed of musicians, filmmakers and digital artists. In 2001, they adopted a forward-looking approach to an emerging scenery that made possible to mix shanty art with technology and apply them to the cumbia genre, allowing the art of the local shantytowns to become global.



As a result, they founded Proyecto Odisea 20 in Villa 20, Lugano, Buenos Aires. This project, which combines arts and culture, aims to stimulate social development and integration through a multi-cultural look on the future. The images that inspire Fantasma City belong to the murals made in Villa 20 during the filmmaking of “Shantytown Art”, produced by Martín Roisi and Prince Claus Foundation. Get into Fantasma city and discover art in its maximun expression.



Fantasma City is the album that shows Fantasma bands experience across a universe that goes beyond social frontiers and breaks social parameters. The band combines different genres within the argentine tropical music -such as cumbia villera, the guaracha and chamamé- together with rap, psychedelic and electronic music.

BIENVENIDOS A LA CIUDAD FANTASMA



Fantasma es la unión de artistas multidisciplinarios que en el 2001 tuvieron la visión de un nuevo escenario, donde el arte villero y las nuevas tecnologías aplicadas a la cumbia permiten que la cultura de las villas, ese gran patio trasero de la gran ciudad, se vuelva global.



Desembarcan así en la villa 20 de Lugano, Buenos Aires, donde fundan el Proyecto Odisea 20, un crossover de arte y cultura que funciona dentro de la villa, con vistas al desarrollo artístico y la integración social, en una mirada multicultural hacia el futuro. Las imágenes que inspiran a Fantasma City pertenecen a los murales realizados en la Villa 20 y forman parte del film "Arte Villero/ Shanty Town Art", producido por Martin Roisi y Prince Claus Foundation.



Su nuevo disco "Fantasma City" condensa el viaje de 9 años por un universo que cruza fronteras y rompe parámetros sociales, combinando géneros satélites tropicales de Argentina como la cumbia villera, la guaracha y el chamamé, junto a estilos como el rap, la psicodelia y la electrónica.
