A Rubbish Song for Europe

It’s 20 years since Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy co-wrote the classic ‘A Song for Europe’ entry for Father Ted and Father Dougal, ‘My Lovely Horse’.

Singer-songwriter and co-founder of My Lovely Horse Rescue, Cathy Davey and Neil Hannon are looking for a modern day successor to ‘My Lovely Horse’. Could that be you?

A live comedy talent contest will be held in My Lovely Ranch at Electric Picnic on the afternoon of Sunday 4 September, to choose the winner. There’ll be special guest performances, A Lovely Girls’ Contest, a Father Ted fancy dress competition and much, much more! Judges for the live contest include; Cathy Davey, Neil Hannon (The Divine Comedy), Joe Rooney (Father ‘Damo’ Lennon) and Patrick McDonnell (Eoin McLove, Father Ted).

The competition is open to anyone to apply.
