side a, track 4, from my weissenborn/tape loops/preparations album 'man and the echo',
released october 2014.

film shot by chris rainier in november 2014, on the ferry from nesoddtangen to oslo [norway].

editing by tess e mckenzie.

"The fast Fourier transform is a mathematical method for transforming a function of time into a function of frequency. Sometimes it is described as transforming from the time domain to the frequency domain. It is very useful for analysis of time-dependent phenomena."

this piece consists of an improvisation on prepared weissenborn [hollowneck acoustic lap steel guitar]
after being recorded, the track was played back through an electro harmonix superego pedal, set to 'auto' mode, which randomizes its function based on the dynamics of the input signal.
