Since forming in 1997, Farofa Carioca continues to rock Rio de Janeiro and the rest of Brazil with their unmistakable carioca sound. Mixing rhythms like funk, jongo, rock, jazz, rap, reggae, xote, and primarily samba, Farofa Carioca does what Brazilians do best: absorb a combination of diverse influences to form a sound that is democratic, irreverent and original.
Included on movie soundtracks and compilations worldwide, Farofa Carioca enjoys an international fan-base. They are currently in the studio in Rio de Janeiro, recording their next album, which will feature the vocal talents of Mario Broder, the former front man of Funk'n'Lata who will also be made his cinematic debut in 2007 in "Noel - O Poeta da Vila".

Farofa Carioca está no estúdio preparando a próxima mistura dançante. O vocalista Mario Broder vai mostrar outro lado artístico estreiando no filme "O Poeta da Vila" que conta a vida do compositor Noel Rosa.
