Extreme Violence were formed on June 1999 by Marios Papapavloy on the drums and Thanasis Papaeythimiou on the guitar. Due to the lack of interest and ability, a vocalist and a bassist couldnt be found at the time so the band missed some live shows. On January 2000 the 1st demo entitled Addicted To Cannibalism is recorded with Mario on the drums and vocals, and Thanasi on the guitars and bass. On summer 2000 Xristos Pallas joins the group as the new vocalist. On September 2000 Aris Tsaousis takes care of the mastering of the demo. The band continues to lose some live shows and doesnt promote its material well. On March 2001 Kostas Vaksevanos from Repulsive Echo Zine takes the Addicted To Cannibalism demo and after his valuable help the demo has many good reviews and is promoted to the underground scene. On November 2001 the band records its 2nd demo named Sickening Butchery with Xrhsto on the vocals, Mario on the drums and Thanasi on the guitars and bass at the same studio again but with a much better sound. On February of the same year the 2nd demo is officially out. The Sickening Butchery demo is being well promoted and reaches many places over the world, takes good reviews, which has as a result a proposal by Sevared Records (NY) for a full length album and at the same time the band prepares some new material. On April 2003 a promo track is recorded with the name Ecstasy In Pain which also gets very positive reviews. At the meantime the band has appeared at many live performances mostly in Athens and Lamia. At the summer of 2004, the band enters "Diagogi Kosmia" studio in Athens and records its debut album called "Ecstasy In Pain" under the Sevared Records label! The album is prepared for almost a year and after many months of hard work (but unfortunately no live shows during this time due to the lack of time) the band is rewarded with its first cd and very positive reviews from all over the world. Now, Extreme Violence are ready to hit the road again, talking about live shows and constantly working on new material for the 2nd album.
