Erynies

Erynies est né en 2000 de l’ambition de deux frères guitaristes, Jean-Christophe et Bertrand.

Ce dernier étant chanteur, trois autres musiciens (un bassiste, un batteur et un claviériste) rejoignent vite le duo. Ils se produisent pour la première fois en 2002, à Nanterre. Durant cette année, plusieurs changements se font au sein du line-up d’origine : un remplacement du claviériste s’effectue, et ils choisissent d’ajouter une chanteuse heavy ainsi qu’un troisième guitariste. En 2003, Erynies enregistre une démo de trois titres. Celle-ci leur donne l’opportunité de participer, l’année suivante, au Hardaveyron, avec Manigance en tête d’affiche. Pourtant, les membres se séparent en 2005.



Jean-Christophe n’a, cela dit, jamais abandonné son rêve ; il souhaite en effet mettre au point un réel projet, où la participation de chacun des membres serait importante.

C’est pourquoi, toujours suivi de Bertrand, il s’impose comme leader en reformant le groupe en février 2007, avec un tout nouveau line-up : Guillaume B. (bassiste), Yann (qui remplace Nazim puis Nassir à la batterie), Guillaume D. (claviers) et Carole, chanteuse lyrique, font désormais aussi partie de l’aventure. Une étape a été franchie.

Après de nombreuses dates à travers la France, Erynies sort l’album « RESILIENCE » en novembre 2008. Le groupe prépare actuellement un nouvel album, plus mature et plus puissant, pour l’année 2011.

Erynies was born in 2000 from two brothers and guitarists : Jean-Christophe and Bertrand.

The second one used to be a singer, and three more musiciens (a bass player, a drummer and a keyboard player) joined the team very soon.

They gave their first live in 2002, in Nanterres, France. During the same year, the line-up changed serveral times : the keybord players is replaced, and they choose to add a heavy metal female singer and a third guitarist.

In 2003, Erynies recorded its first demo with three tracks. It gave them the opportunity to participate, the next year, to the Hardaveyron festival with Manigance. Unfortunately, the band broke up in 2005.



But Jean-Christophe never gave up ; he wanted to create a true vast project, where everyone's involvement would be important.



Thus, he recreated the band with Bertrand in 2007, with a brand new line-up : Guillaume B. (bass), Yann (drums), Guillaume D. (keyboards) and Carole, operatic singer, are now parts of the aventure. A new step has been took.



After a serie of concerts throughout the country, Erynies released the « RESILIENCE » full studio album in november 2008. The band is now preparing a new album, more mature and powerful, for 2011.
