Kerion

The French female symphonic metal band KERION was founded in 2002. Rémi created his own dreams and found that singer Flora, guitar player Sylvain, bass player Stef and drummer Sam shared his vision. The band name is derived from an instrumental Prog Metal band at this time called Kirlian, A band composed of the same musicians while their childhood.
KERION heads towards Symphonic Metal and release 2 demos conceptually based on a Heroic-Fantasy tale written by Chris Barberi: "Conspiracy of Darkness" and "The Last Sunset".
After the success of the second demo, Kerion launches into the deep end to record the first album "Holy Creatures Quest", the third part of the Barberi's trilogy.
The album is on the store in 2008 by Thundering Records featuring a majestuous choir directed by Phil Giordana (FAIRYLAND), a lyrical singer as guest vocalist, a tremendous cover artwork by master JP Fournier (AVANTASIA, EDGUY) and mixed in Harkam Studio by Wildric Lievin (HAMKA, FAIRYLAND) and Guillaume Serra.
"Holy Creatures Quest" shows a powerful and distinguished Symphonic Metal, direct and agressive one time, epic and poetic the next one. Right away, the critics are unanimous :
KERION imposes itself as a real outsider in the genre.
But the band want to grow up. After touring for « Holy Creatures Quest » promotion, Kerion prepare the next album and time is up now for the new Kerion's album : « The Origins »
This album remains the start of the Barberi's tale, always featuring majestuous choir directed by Phil Giordana (FAIRYLAND), Will Lievin (HAMKA) and so on…
