Errander - Glory Grabbers Unite - Video
PUBLISHED:  May 22, 2014
DESCRIPTION:
Taken from Errander's album 'The Need To Know'

Errander started out under the name of PSP (Purple Sticky Punch). As well as gigging regularly PSP put out into the world a couple of early demos, self releasing an EP (Too Fine Line) in 2001 and having put out a 2-track 'single' on self produced label Grazedland in 2003, all getting critical acclaim. When IATDE heard the 2 track single, we had to invite PSP to join our ranks.
Unfortunately due to the release of a certain hand held game console PSP's myspace page changed without warning over night into a Sony advert (No kidding)!! This made the band decide to change their name, so Errander was born.

Described as "a f**king brutally beautiful assault on the ear drums", it's plain to see it's not music for the faint hearted. Thrashing out slick, metallic hardcore with intensity and honesty.

Known as PSP before the launch of a certain hand-held games console, this Barnsley mob have been honing their skills for some time. Consequently, 'The Need To Know' is a shockingly strong debut, balancing noisecore and extreme metal influences with an experimental side reminiscent of the much missed Beecher. Rather than joining the masses of identikit, trend-following bands, Errander avoid the generic in favour of the death metal-damaged fury of tunes like 'Glass House Lane'. Winningly, there's an unexpected catchiness within the chaos, with incredibly hooky lead guitar reeling you in even as you're being battered by tumutuous noise.
