This song shares the importance why celebrating Christmas is significant for today. Even though Christmas was declared to be the birthday of Jesus Christ by various emperors and a pope, no one is actually sure of the exact date. Many people refuse to celebrate it because of it's various origins. However, Christmas is a time when people are open to hearing about Jesus. Although the traditions of Santa Claus, Christmas trees and all the extras can be a huge distraction to the real reason for the celebration, we should always be willing to acknowledge His birth. The star of Bethlehem is very significant and was seen by wise men who observed and followed it to Bethlehem so they might give gifts to the infant king. If they made such an effort to find him and celebrated his coming, shouldn't we do the same? The arguments aimed at not celebrating His birth seem pointless when considering God will still get the glory even when humankind aligns themselves with paganism and false religions. God is bigger than our ideas and worth our single attention in this season. Jesus was born so we could live!
