Erase Errata: A documentary portrait Trailer - Video

DESCRIPTION:
Victoria Yeulet is a feminist activist, musician and music historian specialising in the history of women in music.

Erase Errata: A documentary portrait was made to document the first UK tour by the all female avant-garde punk band in 2003.

It explores their working relationships, use of sound, and location within feminist and queer communities, as well as providing a visual portrait of a band who remain vital and insightful. Inspired by the films of Vivienne Dick in particular, it investigates the use of sound by women musicians as a form of language and discourse, and utilises spontaneous video work as an addition to capturing this spirit of both the musicians as individuals and as a band. It has been screened at Homocrime queer club in the UK, 'Her Noise' exhibition at the South London Gallery (2005) and is stored within their touring and online archive, and at the BFI London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival in 2009.

Filmed by Victoria Yeulet and Edited by Victoria Yeulet and Emma Hedditch
