One of the few sweet soul sounds that Stax issued,' The Echo' was licensed from Gilda Woods, wife of legendary Philly DJ Georgie Woods " The Guy With The Goods". The disc was a superb neo doo wop ballad with a harsh lead vocal providing a nicely judged counterpoint. Other Epsilon groups, like the trio on Hem and Shrine are not related to this Philly combo but the quartet on Triple G who recorded the brilliant ' Lost soul' certainly is.
