DESCRIPTION:
A little 12 bar blues original for Season 198 of Ukulele. I was putting some new strings on my ukulele and had recently watched an SNL skit where Matthew McConaughey tries to sing some blues but fails to get "blue" enough.

Well this Mainland Tenor uke
was soundin’ kinda bad
thought I’d slap some new strings on it
started feelin’ mighty glad

so I ordered up some BlackLines
‘cause they sounded pretty cool
thought my troubles was all over
I was such a silly fool

Well I tied those strings on quick
once I checked the proper gauge
started spinning tuner buttons
like a gerbil in his cage

I was winding twenty minutes
‘til my wrists were gettin’ sore
then I’d check if I was close
nope, gotta wind some more

SOLO

After a million revolutions
I was still a little flat
so I strapped on my Snark tuner
just to see where I was at

I’d get one string up to pitch
then I’d move on to the next
when I got back to the first one
it was 10 cents off again

Well I finally got those damn strings
to hold tune long enough
to play a song or two
still, it was kinda tough

I would start the song in tune
I was playin’ “Crazy G”
when I got up to the last verse
I was in a different key!
