EMMA FELINE BIOGRAPHY

Emma Feline isn't just another female DJ with a pretty face. Her firing mixing skills, intuitive tune selection and big personality have bagged her popular radio shows(Choice FM, London Underground, Upfront FM) and bookings around the world, from India to America, Estonia to Barbados, Dubai to Ibiza.

It was 1997 when the Feline first put her needle on the record. She began mixing House and UK garage in clubs before she could even afford decks and quickly became a household name on the underground scene. During that period, Emma formed the all-girl DJ collective Londons Most Wanted alongside the likes of Lynda Phoenix, Donna Dee and Lisa Unique. The media went wild and coverage from BBC Radio 1, The Guardian, Time Out, The Evening Standard, DJ magazine, Touch, Channel 4 and MTV led to bookings at major events, including a residency with Twice As Nice at The End.

In 2000 London's Most Wanted parted ways and Emma was signed by Profile Agency who secured her tours across America. She built up a faithful following in New York, Baltimore, North Carolina, Washington DC, Atlanta, Miami, Gainesville, Seattle, LA and Dallas, where she is still hailed as a major pioneer of UKG and 2-step. During these trips Ms Feline would hunt down the latest hip hop and R&B records before their UK release and soon began mixing the beats into her sets.

A crowd-pleaser and furious selector, Emma Feline became one of the biggest names on the DJ circuit. She also turned her skills to the studio, producing and remixing tracks under the aliases London's Most Wanted, Fierce and Funky and Tombraider (see discography for more details).

2002 was a big year for Emma. She was asked to mix Twice as Nice, Urban Flava's alongside Steve Sutherland and the compilation was certified gold. Recognising Emma's giant following from her bookings and pirate radio shows (London Underground and Upfront FM), London's infamous Choice FM gave her a Wednesday night show. Raw Selection saw Emma blend cutting edge music with special guest interviews and in 2004 her presenting skills were rewarded with promotion to a Sunday daytime slot.

By now, Emma's diary was jam-packed. Cosmopolitan magazine saluted her as a Woman of Achievement and Emma was asked to write her own column in Tense magazine. Decks In The City burst with candid stories from her DJ travels which later moved to Touch Magazine.

Then, in late 2004, disaster struck. A painful accident caused Emma to pull ligaments in her hip & lower back. Barely able to walk, she was forced to cancel her DJ bookings. After seeing numerous specialists, it became evident Emma wasn't going to be fixed quickly and sadly she had to part ways with Choice FM. For four years Emma Feline's glittering DJ career has been temporarily put on hold. Thankfully, she is now slowly making progress.

Now she is firmly on the mend, and after 10 years of Djing she has gone full circle and has fallen in love with house music again. But her knowledge and taste’s are too broad to stick to one genre. Depending on the booking you can expect an eclectic set from old skool house, 80’s pop, 90’s R&B, funk, rare groove and current soulful, deep and electro house. So get ready for the return of the cat.
