Phil Boroff Plays Classical Guitar: Gigue from Bach's E Minor Lute Suite - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 06, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
Classical Guitarist Philip Boroff plays the sixth and final movement from J.S. Bach's Lute Suite No. 1 in E minor. The CD "A Bach Solo Guitar Recital" was issued by Musicraft Records in 1993, and featured cuts of Philip Boroff performing the complete E minor Lute Suite, along with the Allegro Assai from Bach's Violin Sonata in C Major. It also featured separate cuts of the great master, Andres Segovia, performing six transcribed works from the solo repertoire of Bach, including the Chaconne from the D Minor violin sonata, and the Fugue from the G minor sonata. In this playlist however, I include only the performances by Philip Boroff, so that the internet community may be introduced to this truly excellent and virtually unknown classical guitarist, in a spotlight all on his own. All these performances were transcribed for guitar by Philip Boroff himself.
