Everytime feat. Emily Braden - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 11, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
We invited ourselves for dinner — to Misha Piatigorsky's apartment in Washington Heights, NYC. Before food was ready, we had a blast recording a submission for NPR Tiny Desk Contest. ‘Everytime’ features one of the most beautiful and talented vocalists — Emily Braden — hanging out with a string quartet (2 violins, viola, cello) and Misha Piatigorsky’s jazz trio (with him at the piano, Gianluca Renzi playing bass, and Charles Gould on drums).

We had 3 days to rehearse, record, edit to get the submission just under the deadline. And so we did.

Musicians: Misha Piatigorsky (piano/composition/lyrics), Gianluca Renzi (bass), Charles Goold (drums), Freddie Bryant (guitar), Ezinma (violin 1), Nathalie Barret-Mas (violin 2), Celia Hatton (viola), Agnes Nagy (cello), and Emily Braden (vocals)

Recorded by Filippo Burbano Fantastichini
Edited by Ermolay Romanov

Produced by Misha. www.mishamusic.com

Lyrics:

Everytime I feel you
I am reminded
of what I have seen
Seven hundred horses
Running bareback, running free.

Everytime I touch you
You leave a shimmer lingering on.
Your lips are made of satin
And your tears taste of rum.

Everytime I hold you
I am reminded of heavenly love.
My momma never told me,
that the world can be so rough.

Under all the masks
I am fragile, and lonely, and full of love,
Don’t judge me for my mind,
‘Cus I’m crazy, and foolish and full of love.

Oh, oh, oh, oh (x5)

Everytime I need you
You look the other way —
Of me you steer clear.

I cherish your existence;
Now baby please don't disappear.
Oh baby please, baby please,
Baby I need you here.
I said: don't you disappear
Don't go nowhere I need you here

I need you!
Baby please.
I said: baby please.
Don’t you!
Don’t leave me here, I need you here,
Don’t leave me, no no no no.

Said, I need you here!
Said, I need you! (x3)

So don’t you!
Baby don't you disappear
Baby baby baby, baby please, baby please,
Baby, Baby, Baby, I need you here.
Baby please, don't you disappear.
