DESCRIPTION:
This project is a short fifteen minute documentary that showcases one of New Orleans local talents. The artist goes by the name Elliot Luv. Elliot is a singer/song writer that performs in many venues around the city such as The Hookah bar, Tipatinas, La Masion, Blue Nile, Belli Baci Lounge, just to name a few. His styles of music are Soul, R&B, Old School and Funk with a little splash of Hip Hop.
The documentary dvd captures the essence of the artist. On this short film there is footage of Elliot recording in the studio. There are scenes of him rehearsing with his four piece band. His band consist of a keyboard player, bass player , a percussionist and a drummer. There are also scenes of a live solo performance. In this footage one can see that Elliot is comfortable on stage and that he loves being an entertainer. When watching this performance you will also get a chance to see Elliots stage presents and how he interacts with the audience.
The documentary has an in dept interview with the artist. Elliot talks about his musical background and family influences. He gives some insight into his goals and expectations in the music industry. He also shares information on his new cd Elliot Luv Blaque; describes a few of songs on the cd and why he wrote them. In addition, Elliot mentions some of his music industry influences and some of the difficulties of being a New Orleans musician.
