DESCRIPTION: http://www.ellencherry.com I wrote a song about my parents putting up my childhood piano for sale. The idea came about when I thought of the instrument itself as my "diary"--a place where I had stored dreams, wishes, desires, thoughts. What would happen to those items if someone else had the piano? This song reveals what I think is a better fate for the piano and the secrets it is holding. However, my parents decided to ship the piano to me so we could continue to create together.
