Komponiert wurde der Titel 1998 von der Band Anderson Council.
Die Gruppe war in den Jahren 1997 - 2001 in unterschiedlichen Besetzungen aktiv.
2008 spielten die ehemaligen Anderson Council Musiker Christian (Keyboards) und Mattze (Drums) den Song Psychedelic Spring unter dem Namen Paintbox Project noch einmal ein.

In 2008 the former Anderson Council musicians Christian (keyboards) and Mattze (drums) recorded the song Psychedelic Spring again under the name Paintbox Project.
