It only happens once in while: six people meeting six other people and as a result of that an ongoing outburst of energy, hard work, euphoric parties, new friendships, inspiring new things to learn and a incredible love for music making and mutual admiration..
Sprung from the urge to break out of conventions, in a time during which it gets harder to define music genres, we present you: the Eef van Breen Group (NL) and Mames Babegenush (DK)! They have roots in different music genres (jazz, klezmer and classical music). During the first Underground concert at Festival Classique 2014 (The Hague, Holland) they brought the best of all these music styles together, cherishing each other’s specialties and came to a new sound. 
Compositions by both bands that are very layered, with orchestral improvisations, flowing together into beautiful chamber music and bursting out in groovy and lyrical klezmer themes.
Clarinet, bass clarinet, percussion, violin, cello, double bass, electric bass, tuba, drums, vocals, harp, trumpet, flugelhorn, trombone, saxophones… the two bands create an unforgettable concert. It’s like being part of something entirely new that was presented for the first time during Underground, a party with your best new friends!
