DESCRIPTION:
Bruce Conte is a former Tower of Power guitarist. An all-star line-up of Bruce's musician friends gathered to support him at this benefit concert at Yoshi's in Oakland, CA. The vocal on "You're Still a Young Man" is by the original singer, Rick Stevens. Other musicians from Tower of Power, Cold Blood, Santana, and other Bay Area and Portland, Oregon bands joined in. The benefit was organized by Portland's "Soul Sisters Productions," along with keyboardist David K. Mathews (on piano here). On trumpet is the great Mic Gillette, who passed away on the day of this posting: 1-17-16.
