Daddy Dynamite, Arrows, RAK basement rehearsal 1974 - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 04, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Rare basement rehearsal with barely audible vocals in the cellar of their record label RAK Charles street London W1 (no microphones and very small amps) very rough cassette tape of the band Arrows doing a song called "Daddy Dynamite" that they performed on their UK/German tour, winter of 1974. The Arrows dropped the song at producer Mickie Most's request because of the delicate subject matter not suitable for their teen audience, a song about a pimp.
Words & Music (c) Alan Merrill - 1973
"Daddy Dynamite's got some fun tonight
Daddy Dynamite, his tricks are always tight
In his big black shiny car
Smokin' on a big cigar
Big fat diamond pinky ring -
Where you're going he's already been!"
Paul Varley drums, Jake Hooker guitar, Alan Merrill bass guitar.
