Singer/Songwriter D Walker started his journey at the mere age of 8 impersonating the likes of Michael Jackson especially the latter's legendary moonwalking performance on the Motown 25th-anniversary special. At the age of 12, he began performing at parties and local bars as a Michael Jackson impressionist and then found his singing voice at his local gospel church, which highly motivated and influenced him to become his own artist. By his teenage years his musical talent began to mature which was ignited by artists such as Brian McKnight, Jodeci, H-Town and Ginuwine. This all lead to a discovery of writing poetry, which then transformed into song writing.

The music of his R&B forefathers-Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gay have not only influenced Deke, but have informed his music in a way that makes him a sure bet for the future of R&B/Soul music in the UK.

Unleashing his talents to the UK Funky genre Midnight Sex (remake of Jeremiahs Birthday Sex) is taking the UK Funky scene by storm.
