Bit of Both is the live electronica project of Ash Roy and Ashvin Mani Sharma - two of India’s prominent producers and founding members of the now erstwhile Jalebee Cartel - India’s most successful live underground music act. Their groovy and dance floor friendly music merges live percussive elements with house and techno overlaid with vocals.

Their debut album, Prequels & Sequels, released in January 2016 on Soupherb Records topped Beatport charts - #1 on the Minimal Top 100 Releases; #7 on the Electronica Top 100 Releases; #12 on the Deep House Top 100 Releases; #17 on the Techno Top 100 Releases; #58 on the overall Beatport Charts. The album features collaborations with producers like Grain and Kohra, singers Anushka Manchanda and Possilago, and New York based guitarist Bhrigu Sahni.

They have collectively founded Soupherb Records, India’s fastest
growing underground independent music label to promote their brand of techno and house. Having played sold out venues and festivals across India such as Big Chill Festival, Sunburn, Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Enchanted Valley Carnival, and GO:Madras Festival, the duo has performed around the world including the prestigious Burning Man Festival in the USA; Fusion Festival, C/O Pop Festival, Love Parade in Germany; Amsterdam Dance Event; Future Music Festival in Malaysia; and Chill Out Festival in Dubai.

Ash and Ashvin have also headlined festivals and venues along side the likes of The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, Modeselektor, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Sasha, Ambivalent, and Nic Fanciulli.
