DESCRIPTION:
I recorded this song in Norway, in the kitchen of Magne and Kristine Hellesjo's house at Svensrud Farm, outside of Hemnes. We'd packed Harald Vaernor's studio from Hegedal out to the farm to record an album. Mike Beck flew in from California and joined some of Norway's finest players for the sessions. As I recall, the others had all departed and "Crooked" was the last song I laid down, just voice and guitar. I wrote this song in the spring of 2003, a very dark time in the world. It's a song that I'll always sing. DL
