DESCRIPTION:
I made this recording in the 1980s (1988 is my best guess), at home, late at night, on an Aiwa cassette deck. Gosh, I sound young. The six poems are from one of the books I self-published in those days, called "Blue Tenor," a series of jazz-themed poems. I was hosting a radio show then called The Jazz Forum on CFRO. The saxophonist whose music graces the background for these readings is Warne Marsh, I believe.
