DESCRIPTION:
I went back home to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, recently, returned for the first time in over 40 years. One of the highlights of the trip for me was finding my cousin, Darlene. We hadn't seen one another since I spent summers on her parents' farm as a boy. The first part of the video is an excerpt from my radio show, Better Days, where I recount how I came to meet up again with Darlene. The second part is a song that I recorded in Norway called "Blossoms Are Falling From Heaven Tonight," with harmony vocals by Laura Newbury, Mickey's daughter. The photographs are either my own - from the trip - or from those I was shown by Darlene and other relatives during my visit. Returning to my old home town was emotional, uplifting, worthwhile. DL
