Celia Dufresne was born into a musical family in Louisiana, and came to Austin in 1999. For most of her musical life, this multi- instrumentalist was content to simply accompany others or play in ensembles, but it was on the dare of a childhood friend in 2005 that her songwriting was born.

Very shy, she would only play her new songs at home to entertain her husband, but after his encouragement, Celia joined the ladies of Girl Guitar in the Spring of 2007 to help get over stage jitters. After a couple of public showcases, and with kudos from Mandy Rowden, Celia decided to go solo & get serious.

In addition to Celia's singer-songwriting, she plays the drums for The Dead Carl Weathers; provides vox, rhythm guitar & keys for the southern- groove- rock cover band The Suicide Shifters; and sits in on keys & backing vox for the War Daddies.

Celia is currently working on her debut album, "Against The Grain."
