PUBLISHED:  Aug 05, 2013
DESCRIPTION:
. The Dubcats, were the last of many great bands that the Late Paul Fox's (of The Ruts.) played guitar with. And "Lockdown" was the last song Paul and his band wrote and recorded together, before Paul passed away on Monday 21st October 2007. It was Paul's idea to make the video, due to unfortunate situation he knew he would no longer be able to showcase his new creation "The Dubcats" and he was truly pissed off at the fact of this. So he wanted to catch "The Dubcats" in all their full glory and prosperity. The video was filmed on 18th September and 21st September 2007. Paul was unable to make the first days filming, he had become seriously ill, and was back in hospital. But still putting up a good fight, he wasn't going to let the cancer take him easily. On the 21st September, Paul with pure grit and determination returned to The Shed, the location were his musical journey had started Forty years beforehand with The Ruts, a little unknown studio in north/west London which Paul and his good friend Malcolm Owen, helped to build back in the summer of '76. So here we have the legendary Paul Fox making his last stand with guitar in hand with his band The Dubcats performing "LOCKDOWN", Directed & Edited by Onj Le Chaos.
