Evan Ogden, "Gun For Hire":

After spending time in Oklahoma and Alabama honing his craft at local bars and venues, this Round Rock, Texas native has delivered a stellar freshman release that is a well-seasoned and authentic piece of “Ameripolitan” art at its finest. Ogden delivers barn storming house-rockers, soul wrenching ballads and introspective dirges alike. His quirky, albeit sincere, feel-good honky-tonk numbers like “Shuffling Along,” “Land of The South” and “Hangover and Heartache” are dealt a strong hand of hauntingly hopeful heartache with bittersweet tracks like “Telephone Man,” “They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That Anymore” and powerful anthems like “Winter’s Coming,” “Blow Me Away” and “Gun For Hire”.

Raised on gospel music and Hank Williams, Ogden's musical career began in 2008 when he has given a second hand Washburn acoustic guitar. Since then he hasn't taken his hands away. With musical influence ranging from Jason Isbell to Jonathan Tyler, NeedToBreathe to George Jones, and Roy Acuff to Sturgill Simpson; Evan Ogden's sound lands somewhere between Americana and Texas Country with subtle undertones of Rockabilly and Ameripolitan roots.

Evan is disappearing nightly on The Gun For Hire Tour in a town near you. Pick up your copy soon, and catch him… if you can!
