Here are two of my favourite cuts from Be Bop Deluxe's last album, and, may I say, a very unique one. With the dawning of New Wave, Bill Nelson and friends were starting to take on a more futuristic, snyth-driven sound which would go on to be fully exploited in 1979 when Bill Nelson's short-lived Red Noise project created their lone studio album, Sound on Sound - a style which differs much from Be Bop Deluxe's previous material. With this change in style, you will most certainly notice a certain decrease in heroic guitar work by Bill Nelson, the band's leader. Which is kind of a shame. But I still really like this album regardless!

I lucked out and found this Canadian white vinyl edition STILL-SEALED a few years ago at Star Records in Oshawa. Although I picked it up for only $10, sealed and near-mint copies generally go for a little more ($20-$25 to be precise). In fact, adding to the coolness, I think the Canadian pressing was exclusively released on white vinyl - I doubt they ever pressed any standard black vinyl copies of this in Canada.

UPDATE 05/31/13: Turns out there were actually standard black vinyl Canadian pressings of this, although they obviously came much later.
