Bio By She Rox All Female Bands:Drain, (STH) added to deviate from another band called Drain, sth, for the band's home town of Stockholm, Sweden, began in 1993, and were the first all female band from Sweden to break into the U.S. market with their heavy grunge, metal sound that put them at the front lines of such venues as Ozzfest, rare for any all female band, and toured with Megadeath and Black Sabbath among many others that helped the band gain a strong following of fans outside of Sweden. Drain STH produced one Ep. and two studio albums before the sudden end of the band in 2000. Little unknown fact, vocalist Maria left the band in 2000, wanting to retire from music, the remaining members wanted to replace Maria and continue on together however due to restrictions in their contact they were not allowed to continue on under the band name. All of the members, minus vocalist Maria Sjoholm continue to make music and a rumor that once the time period of their contract is up, could possibly continue on under the band name, we certainly hope so!
