Almost 15 years on since their debut release on Atjazz's lauded Mantis Recordings, Rhythm Plate are set to release their debut album 'Off The Charts' through Lost My Dog Records on 9th September 2013. Ahead of the album comes this sampler featuring two tracks from the album, 'Satellite' and 'Bring It On Back'. Rhythm Plate (Matt Rivem and Ant Plate) have always been a little eclectic and left-of-centre with their approach, and so it is fitting that the remixes here come from two acts with a similar take on music production -- Jacob London and Q-Burns Abstract Message.

'Satellite' shows Rhythm Plate with their focus on the dancefloor, with a driving, robotic house groove providing the base for Matt Rivem's own vocal. The remix sees a reformation of Seattle's Jacob London and a typically twisted and funky reinterpretation. Jacob London are the duo of Dave Pezzner and Bob Hanson, famed for their quirky releases on labels like Classic, .dotbleep and Doubledown. While Pezzner has been very busy in recent years releasing solo material for Freerange, Ovum and Leftroom this is the duos first joint outing in some considerable time.

'Bring It On Back' takes a slower, deeper and more soulful approach, and features the vocals of Clyde, known for his work with Atjazz and eclectic releases on M8MC. Florida's Q-Burns Abstract Message gets to grips with this one, crafting a slow burning track with intricate percussion and chords from the school of Pepe Bradock. Q-Burns' illustrious career takes in nearly years of releases for labels including NRK, Astralwerks, FFRR, Wall Of Sound and Brique Rouge.

Throughout their careers Rhythm Plate have always sought to work with people they know and consider friends -- starting with Midlands' Deep House institutions such as DiY, Mantis, Winding Road and Procreation, to West Coast USA's Blue:m, Losonofono and Roam, to Northern UK labels Flat & Round and Hudd Traxx. It's the same story with Lost My Dog where a personal friendship saw the duo play the first ever LMD party and release music from as early as 2006's 'Not Wot You Got'. Despite the close knit family, those in the know have been well aware of Rhythm Plate for some years and their music has been picked up for compilations by top-flight DJs including Lee Burridge, Tom Middleton, Maceo Plax, Catz N Dogz, Peace Division, Graeme Park and H-Foundation.

Rhythm Plate's output has been relatively quiet over the past few years as they have focused on their album as well as other projects as YSE (Ant Plate's solo project which has called Lost My Dog it's home) and Bleep District (Matt Rivem's collaboration with Matt Powell), but the odd RP remix here and there has continued to cause a stir and a reworking of Mark Ronson's 'Bang Bang Bang' became big with blogs and a viral hit.
