http://www.guitarBreakdown.com/ - Here's some Video footage of last monday's gig at the Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills. Allen Hinds and The Cookies play here every night so check it out if you're in the neighborhood.

It really is a cool gig … lot's of improvisation … Allen Hinds really shows off his maturity as a player … because while he has carte blanche to be as adventurous as he wants … he always makes it musical. Even when playing a Michael Jackson tune or in this case the Stevie Wonder song - Happier Than the Morning Sun … you'll see him play extremely melodic … but always tweak the listeners ear by throwing in some smooth Legato runs as well as some ear grabbing Chromatic Phrases.

Sorry for the shaky camera and the bad camera angle … it's a really small room … and as you can see in this video (and it's worse in the other clips) … people are constantly standing and sitting in front of the camera (no matter where I moved it). And this night … there were two rock stars wearing all the essential rock gear including cowboy hats that really took joy in getting their camera time in.
